Dive Into the Wild

I grew up in Punaauia. The ocean was always there: fishing, spearfishing, surfing, spending hours beyond the reef before I could explain why. It was never really about the catch. It was just where I wanted to be.

As a Polynesian, the sea is part of who I am. It's where I grew up with my friends, where I've laughed the most, and where I've been humbled too. One day in Tetiaroa, I was swimming next to a mother whale and her calf, with a large male watching from below. I surfaced knowing I wanted others to feel that.

Today I lead small excursions: unhurried, close to the animals, rooted in the culture I grew up in. I still get excited when a single fish swims by. Come aboard and you'll understand what I mean.”
